Addicted to VBALL

For the last few weeks, I have been to trying to get involved with beach volleyball. What a fun sport.  I haven't played volleyball in a loooooong time and I am a bit rusty.  I have always wanted to try beach volleyball and finally tried it during our vacation at Laguna Beach here in Southern California.  I bought myself a volleyball from a store right by the beach and casually played with a group who was nice enough to let me play.  As soon as we got home from our vacation I signed up with a group who meets casually on the week-end and can't wait to meet up.  Yesterday, I went to the beach did a pick-up game and gosh... i need get back to the swing of things.  My arms and legs are sore from hitting and running on the sand, but I will prevail!!!!

  1. Beach VB is a lot of work (it's amazing how hard it is to get moving on that sand, isn't it?) but it's totally worth it. I have made most of my friends in San Diego through volleyball (it's even how I met my husband). Where have you been going to play?

  2. @ Thoroughly Modern Mom....As much as i want to play, I haven't been able to due to my son's week-end sport games and dance class. My little one already misses a lot of dance class due to his brother's' soccer games. HIs dance class is at the same time the volleyball meet up is and when we can go, i just decide to go to his class instead of the meet up. The little one sacrifices a lot for his brother in term of missing out on his class to got to his brothers sports game. He doesn't understand this yet since he is only 5, but i have to sacrifice my wants at this time for both kids. I will get in there once again. The meet up is in Coronado Beach every Saturday. Maybe we can meet up one of this days there.
