So it has been such a long, long , long time since I posted on my blog. Part of it is having no time and the other part, well-- let's just say laziness.  I initially started blogging when I opened my shop on Etsy.  Almost every advised I received in order to market my shop is to do social networking. So  I did. I started this blog, FB, twitter --- you name it. I signed up to quite a few, but  my social networking dwindled after a while.  I guess I really didn't know how to prioritize or manage my time doing them.  It came to a point where I just didn't to them anymore. It was a struggle for me.

It has been many months and here I am again.  I am going to tackle social networking once again, but this time with a better mindset (i think) and approach. I told myself -- use social networking as a way to just share my interest with others, my work, hobbies and experiences (hence the title "social networking") and vice versa to the people who follows me. What ever happens after that -- will be.

So this is when it starts.......

New name for my shop

I decided to change my shop name from I'sHa-Lo Ha-Lo to Simply I.  I have debated for such a long time and thought that it might be a good change for my shop. Wish me luck.

Back to sewing and designing clothes !!!

After taking a break in making and designing clothes, I am back at it again.  Last year I mostly concentrated on making fun and funky accessories for my shop on Etsy.  I am now at 21 sales! It is not much,  but I am hopeful that the sales will go up.

This New Year, I am introducing my Princess Tube Tops.  These tube tops are very cute and fun to wear.  They have an attached sleeves to the tube top diminishing the need to constantly re-adjusting the top as we all have experienced with a regular tube top.

I currently have two styles of my Princess Tube Tops on my Etsy shop. They are the BELLE and the ARIEL styles.  I named them after the Disney Princesses because I feel like one when I wear mine. With the cute little sleeves around your upper arm makes you feel like one for sure. More will come as I finished creating them.

I's Ha-Lo Ha-Lo - Getting to know

A little bit about I's Ha-lo Ha-Lo.

Artichoke dip that is to die for :)

I have been making this delicious artichoke dip that is to die for.  I've served it during birthday parties, pot luck and dinner with friends.  Everyone just loves it, so I thought I'd share it with you.  I don't have any pictures, but trust me---it is yummy! So here is the recipe.

1 can of artichoke hearts
1 cup of mayonnaise
1 cup of shredded parmesan cheese
1 medium size onion

Prep:
chop onions in tiny squares
chop artichoke hearts
mix in the mayonnaise and the parmesan cheese
bake it for 20 minutes at 350 heat.

It is good with french or italian bread, crackers.  You can also serve on bowl bread?  It is one of those round bread and you take the inside out put the dip in the bread. Use the bread you took out for dipping.

Birthday at 40 :)

So I recently turned 40 years old.  I hear a lot of people say turning 40 is "when it starts".  But, I do wonder what "when it starts" really means. Is it the start when your bones starts to loose their density, when your breasts start to sag, when you start to get hot flashes, start of a mid-life crisis OR is it the start when everything starts to get better.  Is it the start when you get wiser, start to earn a lot of money, start to count your days to retirement......hmmm.  I would like to think of it as the latter.  Turning 40 isn't so bad.  I am just another year older.   So cheers to being 40 :)
